How to Use This Study Time Calculator
Enter the number of courses, credit hours, difficulty level, and your study efficiency. The calculator recommends weekly study hours for optimal academic performance.
Formula & How It Works
Base: 2-3 hours of study per credit hour per week. Adjusted: Easy Γ0.7, Medium Γ1.0, Hard Γ1.5, Very Hard Γ2.0. Total = Ξ£(Credits Γ Multiplier Γ Base Hours).
Calculation Example
15 credit hours (5 courses): Base = 30-45 hrs/week study. Mix of easy (6 cr Γ 1.4hr) + hard (9 cr Γ 4.5hr) = 8.4 + 40.5 = 49 hrs/week total with class time.
Expert Tips
Spaced repetition is 2-3Γ more effective than cramming. Study in 50-minute blocks with 10-minute breaks (Pomodoro). Review notes within 24 hours of class for best retention. Create a weekly schedule and treat study blocks like class.
