About Our Health Calculators
Each health calculator uses a well-established, peer-reviewed formula:
- BMI uses the standard WHO formula: weight (kg) / height (m)², with classification categories from Underweight to Obese III.
- Calorie Calculator applies the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (1990), considered the most accurate for estimating Basal Metabolic Rate, multiplied by an activity factor.
- Body Fat uses the U.S. Navy circumference method, which requires waist, neck, and hip measurements. Accuracy is Β±3-4% compared to DEXA scans.
